Police have narrowed the search for a Christchurch man missing for a week to the Lake Sumner area.
John Old has not been heard from since December 3 when he spoke to his family and police are concerned for his wellbeing.
Police understand the 58-year-old has walked into the Lake Sumner area after getting a lift and were wanting to speak to anyone who had been in the vicinity.
