Police have concerns for the welfare of a 28-year-old man, who was last seen in Hanmer Springs yesterday.

Police say Michael Lawson, who could be wearing a white T-shirt, has a medical condition that's led them to fear for his safety.

His registration number is HPF247, and he could be driving a silver 2005 Nissan Teana.

He could be anywhere in Canterbury.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Christchurch police.
