A car has collided with a Tranz Alpine passenger train just outside of Christchurch.
The crash happened just after 9am, at the intersection of Keens Road, south of Springfield.
There were no injuries from the collision and the Greymouth-bound train wasn't derailed.
Police are investigating the incident.
