UPDATED 9.02pm Police have located Vernon Robertson safe and well in central Christchurch.Â
Police were concerned for the safety of 80-year-old Robertson who has been reported missing.
Mr Robertson was last seen at Mairehau School where he picked up a paper at 11am.
He never reached his destination nearby to deliver the paper and had not been heard from since, very out of character for him.
