The Principal's Federation is calling for another look at the food in schools bill.
A survey of 270 schools shows many are digging into their teaching budget to feed hungry kids.
Principal's Federation President Denise Torrey believes it is very worrying.
She said if money's spent on the essentials like stopping kids going hungry, they cannot provide them with some aspects of their education.
Torrey said some people may be missing out on books and activities, or extra teacher aid time.
