A Chinese woman who admitted bringing endangered plant species into the country has been sentenced to 300 hours community work.
Xiaoqing Kuang pleaded guilty in September to two counts of trading in endangered species and making a false declaration about 'risk goods' when she flew into Christchurch from China on August 7.
The 44-year-old had a quantity of material including a rare orchid and American ginseng.
