An early morning Tinder rendezvous has led to harassment charges and a jail sentence for a Dunedin woman.
28-year-old Karen Ilya Laing made a 2am visit to a North Dunedin house last September, after an invitation on the dating app.
She had previously been trespassed from the property, so when she was asked to leave she forced the front door open and grabbed the victim by the neck.
In the following months, Laing would call the 24-year-old occupant more than 140 times - leaving nearly a hundred voice messages.
At her appearance yesterday, the Dunedin District Court heard how she'd been jailed three times for similar obsessive behaviour.
Laing has been sentenced to four months' imprisonment.
