The timing of a teenage-murderer’s release from prison could be reviewed if it clashes with the anniversary of her victim’s death.
The Parole Board says Natalie Fenton will be released from prison in April.
She's spent more than half her life in prison after she and two other teenagers, her sister Katrina Fenton and Daniella Bowman, were found guilty of murdering south Auckland man Raymond Mullins in 1999.
Mr Mullins’ daughter Leigh-Anne Mullins says the family's upset at the timing of the release and they understand Fenton is to live in South Auckland, which is where family members who haven't registered as victims reside.
A Parole Board spokesman says they're happy she will not be near any registered victims, but may look at the release date if it does clash with the anniversary of Mr Mullins’ death.
