Invercargill police have caught a group of teenagers on a vandalising spree.

The group of five boys and one girl were between 13 and 14 years old and are thought to be responsible for damaging more than 18 cars.

Police were called around 12.30am to find a car with slashed tyres.

Patrols identified at least 17 other cars with similar damage and tracked the group across the city.

The youth's have been reported to Youth Services and police are calling for any witnesses to contact them.
