Police are still looking for the 17-year-old murder-accused, who's on the run.

Beauen Wallace-Loretz took off in a car with a friend from his Avondale bail address on Thursday night.

He later cut off his electronic monitoring ankle bracelet.

Detective Inspector Scott Beard says officers are talking to his family and friends about where he could be.

"There's been nothing on social media at this stage that would alert us to anything like that.

"In regards to the border authorities, we've contacted them just to ensure that he doesn't leave the country."

Beard says anyone helping hide him should think about the possible consequences, and give him up.
