Traffic backed up as two men exchanged blows in the middle of the road in Cambridge yesterday.
The suspected road rage incident saw a 35-year-old man given a pre-charge warning.
Matt Cummings, a witness to the incident, said one car cut off the other, causing both drivers to stop in the middle of the road and exit their vehicles.
He said "fists started flying", and one of the assailants ended up with a bloody nose before others stepped in to break the fight up.
Mr Cummings said the traffic built up as the area was busy with tourists and the drivers had left their cars in the middle of the road.
