Police are on the hunt for a man behind a Mt Roskill aggravated robbery yesterday.

The man, who was armed with a shotgun, entered the Kiwibank/ Post Shop on Richardson Road at 1:23pm.

He presented the shotgun to staff at the counter and demanded cash from the till.

He left with an undisclosed quantity of cash and was seen getting into a stolen silver Mazda with the registration ERT981 which was being driven by another male.

The man is described as light skinned, of a slim build, around 172cm tall and aged between 40-50.

He was wearing an orange fluorescent jacket, a black hooded jumper, dark pants, white gloves and dark work boots.

He also had on a dark baseball cap with white writing. 

Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the robbery - in particular the two females and a male customer who were inside the bank at the time of the robbery.
