More than 100 Auckland police officers have carried out a city-wide sting on organised crime today.
Twelve people have been arrested, 144 vehicles have been checked, one person had been summonsed to appear in Court on drug matters and more than 200 imported new vehicles have been checked at the port
Detective Inspector Chris Cahill says the object of the exercise was to disrupt the activities of criminals involved in organised crime.
He says a clandestine laboratory was also found in Mt Wellington and three firearms and ammunition were seized.
