Serial sex-offender Stewart Murray Wilson has today been released back into the community.
He was granted parole in December.
The Department of Corrections has just released a statement saying he'll be subject to GPS monitoring, live in the grounds of Whanganui Prison and be subject to supervision if he leaves the house.
It says Whanganui is one of the few places in the country, where as far as it can determine, Wilson has no victims and his location in the prison grounds is away from close neighbours.
Wilson is able to be recalled if he breaches any of his conditions or presents signs or elevated risk to the community.
He pleaded guilty in November last year to breaching his parole conditions in 2013.
