A Taranaki man has admitted the murder of his mother in January.
David Blake pleaded guilty in the High Court in New Plymouth today, to the murder of Gwen Blake in Stratford.
A post mortem examination found Gwen Blake died as a result of a serious assault.
Blake was remanded in custody, and will appear for sentencing in June.
