Paekakariki Hill Road on the Kapiti Coast is likely to remain closed this morning, as police investigate a suspicious death.

A 32-year-old man was found dead next to a white Toyota Corolla at the bottom of a bank yesterday.

Police do not believe his death was the result of a crash.

A post mortem is likely to be carried out this morning whilst forensic work goes on at the scene.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw anything unusual in the area overnight on Thursday.
