Police have arrested four people and seized cannabis and a gun in a raid at a house in the Christchurch suburb of New Brighton.

They also found drug paraphernalia at the property.

A 23-year-old man will appear in Christchurch District Court tomorrow facing 11 charges including assault, possession of a firearm and possession of cannabis.

Two other men and a woman are facing drug possession charges and will appear in court next week.

Police investigations continue.
