The future of the food bank in Waitara is uncertain, following another burglary.
Volunteers have just got back on their feet after equipment was damaged and food stolen in the last break-in, three weeks ago.
They arrived on Friday to find broken glass on the floor, and the stockroom raided.
Chairwoman Kath Jones said it's heartbreaking for people just trying to do something worthwhile.
"If it happens again we've all got the feeling we'll have to close because we can't keep going through this and expect the community to keep supporting us and then we're losing all the food."
Chairwoman Kath Jones said local people pitched in to help after the last break-in, but now they're back to nothing again.
"The high school in Waitara did a mufti day and they brought us money and food and tins and packets. Those kids made an effort for us and now it's gone."
