Fresh charges against five people relating to a woman found bound and gagged on the side of an Auckland road paint a disturbing picture of "horrendous" offending.

Court documents now allege that the victim was viscously attacked on two separate occasions across three dates in April and May.

The victim, who has automatic name suppression as the victim of an alleged sex attack, was found on the side of a road in Dome Valley on May 8.

She was bound and gagged with critical head injuries, and identifiable only by a rose tattoo on her leg.

Five people, three woman and two men, have since been charged with a range of offences and appeared at the North Shore District Court.

The two men are aged 38 and 33, the women are aged 28, 42 and 29.

All five were granted name suppression until an appearance at the High Court next month.

The 29-year-old woman and 33-year-old man appeared in court this morning where the judge described the alleged crimes as "horrendous".

He said they were "Some nasty, serious allegations of grievous criminal conduct."

The 29-year-old woman and 33-year-old man had their bail applications declined.

When the judge announced his decision, the woman became upset and her supporters in the public gallery expressed anger at the decision.

When the 28-year-old woman and 38-year-old man passed each other the woman yelled, "**** you" at him.

The Judge revealed some details about the alleged attacks, in which the victim was allegedly detained at one of the accused's addresses.

The victim was allegedly robbed of her car on April 23 and assaulted.

She was allegedly kidnapped on May 7 and detained until the next day.

During that time it is alleged she was assaulted, sexually violated and attempted to be killed.

He said police found her hair and blood at the house on Great North Rd, as well as her handbag.

Charges included attempted murder, sexual violation, assault, kidnapping and stealing the victim's car.

The offences were alleged to have occurred on April 23 and May 7 and 8.

All five remain in custody until their next appearance.
