Two men are appearing in the Christchurch District Court today following an attempted dairy robbery yesterday afternoon.
The men, aged 29 and 36, are accused of entering a dairy on Somerset Crescent armed with a knife and threatening staff.
Nothing was taken and no-one was injured, with police making a quick arrest.
Detective Sergeant Brad Grainger hopes the quick arrests will give the community some reassurance.
He says it's serious offending and will come with significant consequences that can have a big impact on victims and communities.
The men are charged with assault with intent to rob.
