Controversial Christchurch developer David Henderson will be back in front of the courts next year, but a date for his battle against the IRD continues to be up in the air.
Henderson faces seven charges of aiding and abetting his company Dweller in 2010.
The Crown alleges he used funds taken from his employees to pay creditors, rather than Inland Revenue.
Judge Jane Farish told him in the Christchurch District Court this morning it was one of the courts most delayed trials, and needed to be given priority.
A narrow window in the Court’s schedule and availability of his lawyer prevented a date being set again, but he was remanded to reappear on January 13, where it was hoped a trial date would be ready.
