Housing New Zealand is taking action against a Napier tenant who organised a Facebook party which got out-of-control.
More than 500 people turned up to the party on Rutherford Road in Marewa on Saturday of Easter Weekend.
Police were called after the gate-crashers starting fighting and damaging property and cars.
The organiser claimed it was an 'invite-only' party on Facebook and charged a gate-fee, sold alcohol and had security.
HNZ spokesman Andrew Cairns says they will be taking appropriate action against the tenant.
While he wouldn't go into specific details due to privacy reasons, Mr Cairns says tenants who breach their tenancy agreements are at risk of losing their tenancy.
