The man, a former gaming inspector, has been granted continued name suppression after pleading not guilty to two charges of obtaining by deception in the Wellington District Court.
He's elected a judge alone trial on a date that's to be confirmed.
Former Harness Racing NZ chairman Pat O'Brien, his son Mike O'Brien and hospitality consultant Paul Max have all been remanded without plea until July.
They were all arrested in February after a long running investigation uncovered a 30 million dollar fraud scheme.
