An 85 year old man's had his coin collection stolen at knifepoint in South Auckland.
The incident on Saturday saw the elderly man assaulted by three men who arrived at his Papatoetoe address in a stolen vehicle.
The men had covered faces and two were armed with knives.
Counties Manukau Police say they took off with the man's bank cards and coin collection, the value of which is still unknown.
The elderly man has been released from Middlemore Hospital, where he was taken as a precaution.
