Police have named the woman who died in a fatal house fire in Christchurch on Wednesday.
59 year-old Karen Winnifred Mehlhopt was found dead inside the Halswell property, on Caulfield Avenue.
Police are finishing off forensic work to determine the cause of the fire, and should complete the job today.
There are no suspicious circumstances, and the matter is being referred to the Coroner.
