Remaining Port Hills red-zoners are now concerned CERA's future demolition plans will further put their homes at risk.

After a number of extensions, just over 10% of the 455 red-zone property owners rejected the Crown's offer.

They'll now have to protect their own properties from any danger such as rockfall.

But resident Phil Elmey who's staying behind says that's not what they're worried about.

"People are starting to realise that the clearance of other properties are really going to adversely affect them, particularly houses demolished above them. You don't want to increase the danger to your home."
