The saga continues for two Christchurch rowers, in the battle to continue rowing at the Maadi Cup regatta.

The parents of the St Bede's students have asked for a deadline extension on the High Court interim injunction, to allow discussions to continue.

They were supposed to submit the formal statement of claim by 5pm yesterday.

If eventually accepted by the courts, it will allow Jack Bell and Jordan Kennedy to continue competing at the regatta.

The pair were initially banned by the College's Rector for breaching airport security.
