There appears to be no stopping house prices in Canterbury with QV recording a five-percent rise in house values this year.
A closer look across the city shows the Selwyn District and Christchurch Hills have seen values rise by 1.6 percent since January.
Meanwhile, the previously booming Waimakariri District has seen a flattening off in prices, due to a greater supply of homes.
Overall, house values in Canterbury are almost 25 percent higher than in the previous peak of 2007.
