A give-a-little page has been set up, after burglars carried out a blitz on a Christchurch cat re-homing service.

Carry cages, scratching posts, toys and food were among the items stolen from Cat Rescue in Addington.

Spokesperson Danielle Gregan told Newstalk ZB's Chris Lynch they're a charitable trust, so they need all the help they can get.

"Biscuits, kitten biscuits, certainly some kitten wet food would be quite handy now that all of it's gone, obviously."
