Concrete sales are going through the roof, as Christchurch's rebuild lets off more steam.
The latest ASB Cantometer, a snapshot of economic progress in the rebuild, shows construction activity in Canterbury will hold steady for a while yet, despite tapering off slightly this month.
Chief Economist Nick Tuffley says new housing and commercial buildings are about to pop up around the region, as new foundations are being laid.
He says the rebuild will remain a key support of Canterbury's economy over the coming years.
