The Warehouse Group has reported a net profit after tax of $78.3 million, up almost 50 percent on last year, above expectations the company provided earlier this year.

The biggest listed retailer in the country says all brands under the Warehouse Group contributed to its strong performance.

It says it's had a very good result from its Noel Leeming stores, and solid performance from the Red Sheds.
