The New Zealand TAB says despite a recent cyber attack on their website customers personal information is safe.
Punters were unable to place bets on the 26th and 27th of December at varying times as a result of hackers interfering with the TAB website.
TAB executive general manager Glenn Patrick says they can't discuss where the attacks came from or details of the hack.
"We want to reassure customers that their personal data and information is safe and secure," he says.
Patrick says it's caused some customer disruptions, Christmas is one of their busiest times.
"It is quite difficult to tell, but without a shadow of a doubt there would have been some customers who would not have been able to put bets on and for that we apologise."
