There will be more disruption for some Auckland bus commuters this morning.

Around 70 Ritchies bus drivers are going on a two hour strike from 7 to 9am.

The drivers will be picketing on Great South Road in Takanini.

FIRST Union spokesman Graham McKean say Ritchies drivers will be on a two hour strike from 7 to 9am in Takanini on Great South Road.

"It will directly affect the urban runs around the south area into the city and potentially the school run as well."

McKean says they're joining rolling strikes by Pavlovich and Go Bus drivers over pay and conditions.

"The key issues are a low wage rate and anything they are suggesting would barely be the cost of living which will still keep them $2 below the market rate. Also the long drives the broken shifts that they have."
