A trustee company to Hanover Finance won't be roped into the civil case against it.

Former Hanover director Mark Hotchin is attempting to have The New Zealand Guardian Trust Company Limited and Perpetual Trust Limited also face charges from the Financial Markets Authority.

The Supreme Court granted leave to appeal last year, though the case against Perpetual Trust Limited has since been abandoned.

The case against The New Zealand Guardian Trust Company Limited is being heard in the Supreme Court today.
