There might be some indication from Fletcher Building today if the company will lay off staff.
The construction giant will be announcing its five-year plan to investors in Sydney this morning.
Earlier this year chief executive Ross Taylor indicated job losses would be announced in June.
Paul Harrison of Salt Funds Management says Fletcher's is winding down some parts of its business.
"Maybe we see a little bit less of the centralised business focus they have in lots of areas of the business being run out of the head office. Maybe we will see a bit of decentralisation, so you might see a few people go out of head office."
