A Christchurch based jet-pack making company has secured enough funding to get off the ground.
Kuangchi Science, which is listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange, has agreed to invest $53 million in Martin Aircraft in return for a major shareholding.
Chief-executive Peter Coker told Newstalk ZB's Susan Wood he's expecting the packs to become the way of the future.
"This is a bit like Dreamworld if you like. They're very easy to fly and after 35 years of flying aeroplanes, this is something right up with the most exciting things that I've done."
Coker says the packs should be ready for sale by the second quarter of 2016.
