The new coalition Government will be less business friendly than the previous National Government.
That's the view of former Business New Zealand boss and now Iron Duke Partners Director, Phil O'Reilly.
He thinks that business and the Government will check each other out over the next 100 days and it's important that it is done constructively.
"If it is done constructively, then maybe some of the more worrisome aspects of the coalition's policies will be moderated because of the fact that they'll understand that they could actually be damaging to business success and to the employment of young people," he said.
Mr O'Reilly singled out the proposed labour reforms, significant changes to the Reserve Bank Act and potential attempts to renegotiate the TPP, as concerning for the business community.
