Battle lines have been redrawn as another round of legal action between Talley's-owned Affco and the Meat Workers Union heats up.
Union Organising Director Darien Fenton said Affco had put in an additional claim with the Employment Authority to shut down their social media and website presence.
Two weeks into the legal process, they're asking the authority to issue a compliance order to the union to stop all its Facebook and website posts, as well as media releases, Fenton said.
Fenton says Affco's complaint is based on the "good faith" section of the Employment Relations Act, which outlines how Unions bargain with companies.
At the start of the month Affco complained to the ERA about what it says are misleading and deceptive statements put out by the Union to the media.
