The ANZ Bank is refusing to discuss reports it could face legal action, as part of an investigation into interest rate rigging across the Tasman.
The Australian Financial Review says the four big banks across the ditch have been investigated by Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
It says civil action against ANZ may be close, in relation to illegal manipulation of the rate at which the banks lend money to each other.
