A boozy night in Wellington has led to four Air New Zealand cabin crew resigning.

It's understood the night out involved dinner with two pilots, but flight attendants kept on drinking once the pilots had left.

One woman reportedly got so drunk, she had to be carried back to the crew's hotel.

It's the latest alcohol-related incident to hit the airline.

Last month, an off-duty crew member was said to have 'straddled' All Black Israel Dagg on a flight from the US.

And in July, cabin staff were understood to have been drinking heavily while stranded in Hawaii, by a faulty aircraft.
