A crime prevention officer in south Auckland has been asked to wear a stab proof vest and a camera during daily operations.
The Manukau Central Business Association say the man's received death threats from gang-affiliated window washers.
General Manager Kerry Burridge says they're not happy with the situation and are looking for further support from police and the council.
"The window washers have become very dangerous. There's threatening and intimidating our members and in fact our crime prevention officers as well.
"He's had death threats and people attack him physically."
