Late night trains from Auckland's Britomart Station will halt after 11pm tonight.

Auckland Transport says it needs to replace damaged points on rail lines.

It says all Southern, Western and Onehunga lives services toward Britomart will terminate at Newmarket after 11.10pm.

Buses will replace trains from Britomart to Newmarket.

Buses will also replace cancelled Eastern line services from Britomart to Panmure and won't stop at Parnell or Meadowbank Station - instead taxis will be arranged for these stations if needed.
