Aucklanders could soon be healthier, if a fresh prescription gets the tick.
Medical officer of health, Dr Michael Hale, says the 'prescription' is a series of suggestions to improve Auckland's wellbeing.
Less driving, less drinking, less smoking, more walking and more exercise are on the cards.
Dr Hale points to proposals such as the SkyPath across the Harbour Bridge, as encouraging people to get active outdoors.
He says only one in three adults in Auckland are at normal weight putting their own health at risk.
