This weekend's NRL Nines will be a test for Auckland Transport ahead of next month's Cricket World Cup.
The event is expected to draw 90-thousand people to Eden Park over two days.
Auckland Transport wants to avoid a replay of the train station fights after Raggamuffin and Christmas in the Park.
They'll be extra guards on duty and special operations manager John Stawbridge will be monitoring things from Central Control.
"We obviously observe things via CCTV and get live updates from staff and supervisors on the ground," he says.
Last month's train station fights included a hundred-strong brawl at Britomart transport centre.
