UPDATED 8:21pm: There is a new case of measles in Auckland.
Auckland Regional Public Health has announced the person visited several public places while they were infectious before being diagnosed.
Â
The man, who is in his early 30s, visited several south Auckland shops last Thursday.
They were Kmart and The Warehouse at Manukau Supercentre, and Countdown Airport Oaks.
Medical Officer of Health Dr Julia Peters says if people who were in those stores at that time start showing symptoms, they need to call their doctor.
"If they are not immune and they have been in contact, they would probably start to develop symptoms probably around the weekend so around the 19th of April."
Aucklanders at risk of having contracted measles from an infected man are likely to start showing symptoms this weekend.
The infected man also visited Middlemore Hospital ED overnight on Sunday - people who were there during that time will be contacted by health authorities.
