Djokovic eases through to Cincinnati semis

By: Elliott Smith | Latest Tennis News | Saturday August 18 2012 11:02

World number two Novak Djokovic has eased through to the Cincinnati Masters semifinals with a commanding victory over Marin Cilic.

Djokovic was barely troubled against the Croatian, winning 6-3, 6-2 inside an hour and a half.

He says it was a strong performance against a tough opponent.

He says it was his best match so far and it came when he needed it in his hardest match.

He'll meet Juan Martin del Potro after he beat Frenchman Jeremy Chardy.

Venus Williams has knocked reigning US Open champion Samantha Stosur out in the quarter finals in the women's draw.
