Kiwi heptathlete still trying to qualify for Games

| Other Sport News | Wednesday June 20 2012 14:17

Heptathlete Rebecca Wardell is still trying to meet the qualifying mark for the Olympic Games but her bid has suffered a setback.

She's pulled a hamstring at an event in Germany in the weekend.

She will be sidelined for 10 days.

Wardell says it's a nuisance but her form in Germany's a major boost for her next qualifying attempt in France.

The French national championships early next month will be her final chance of qualifying for the Games.
