Read likely to stay sideline this weekend

| Latest Rugby News | Monday July 16 2012 13:37

Crusaders captain Kieran Read is likely to be having another Super Rugby weekend on the sideline.

Read's battling tender ribs having earlier had some time off the park with concussion.

Coach Todd Blackadder says the number eight is unlikely to play against the Bulls in the first round of the playoffs.

"Probably 60-40 in doubt, he's still not quite right, and I'll probably internally have a really good look at our team tomorrow because I'd rather us just get prepared and get on with it."

Read took no part in training last week.
