Cane welcomes opportunity to learn from McCaw

By: Nick Walker | Latest Rugby News | Tuesday May 15 2012 6:32

Chiefs flanker Sam Cane can hardly wait to be rubbing shoulders with Richie McCaw.

Included in the 35-man All Black training squad, Cane's seen as the likely backup to the captain, as the only other specialist openside.

He says the chance to learn off the likes of McCaw is really special.

"I'll just be going in there and looking to learn as much as I can and soak it up. To be there in training with Richie would be awesome I'm really looking forward to it."

Meanwhile the All Blacks test against Ireland in Christchurch next month has sold out just hours after public tickets went on sale.

17,500 tickets were available with organisers looking at options to increase capacity by putting a bigger temporary stand at one end of the ground.

There are still tickets available for the tests in Auckland and Hamilton.
