Cronulla and Roosters draw

By: Radio Sport staff | Latest Rugby League News | Tuesday July 10 2012 7:43

Roosters coach Brian Smith is baffled by the change in officiating in golden point extra time in his side's NRL draw with the Sharks in Sydney.

The two sides have finished in a 14-all stalemate after the 80 minutes and the extra 10 of extra time.

Smith says there's no doubt the referees changed their style from the regulation time of the game.

He says it ends the game on a sour note because it's not meant to peter out to a draw.

Sharks fans have let fly at officials after their side was disallowed two tries by the video referee during the match.

Collectively, both sides missed seven field goal attempts as the sides couldn't be separated even after the extra 10 minutes of golden point.

Sharks coach Shane Flanagan says they blew it.

He says they were in control and had most of the play, so he does consider it a point lost.
